Since 2004 Antoni Abad has been carrying out collaborative projects with various groups in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, the United States and the Algerian Sahara.
The BlindWiki project in Valencia consists of the creation of a collaborative mapping in which visually diverse participants use mobile phones to publish geolocalized audio records online. This way, they generate sound maps of their particular perception of urban public space.
Collective mapping expeditions are carried out in the areas of Poblats Marítims and the UPV campus (Polytechnic University of Valencia), in which groups of students collaborate with blind participants. They also hold inclusive meetings, where the topics to be dealt with in their publications are decided.
The experiences, chronicles and published opinions are accessible through the free mobile application BlindWiki, making available to all the people, the sensory mapping of everything that participants are not able to see.
With the collaboration of the Department of Sculpture of the UPV.
