‘Las Entendidas‘, prescribers of cinema and series, will lead the presentation and discussion of ‘Pequeña Miss Sunshine’ (2006, Jonathan Dayton, Valerie Faris), about a girl who dreams of participating in a children’s beauty contest. During the session, they will recall the reasons why, to this day, the film maintains a groundbreaking discourse on normativity, both through the main character of the girl, who questions stereotypes around hegemonic beauty, and her dysfunctional family, who will see the excuse of a road trip as a way to accept their differences.
