Through the cracks of consciousness, bursting into our state of comfortable alienation, we can suddenly see the barren region of desire and will. We get to capture the gleams of corruption and decadence belonging to ourselves. Ghosts appear. The dead change sides. Ours is a posthumous celebration.
Greta Alfaro is a visual artist. She lives and works in London.
She has exhibited individually in La Gallera and Galería Rosa Santos in Valencia, Artium Vitoria, Flint Institute of the Arts Michigan, Museum of Contemporary Art Hiroshima, Museo ExTeresa México DF, among others, and collectively in places such as Whitechapel Gallery, Institute of Contemporary Arts and Saatchi Gallery in London, Bass Museum of Contemporary Art Miami, CCBB Brasilia, La Conciergerie Paris, etc.
Her work has received grants and awards such as Multiverso BBVA, Academia de España en Roma, Generaciones Caja Madrid, CAM, El Cultural de Fotografía or Bloomberg New Contemporaries.
