L’après-midi d’un foehn is a visual tale for children from the age of 4 in which an artificial tornado gives life to a ballet of plastic nymphs, orchestrated by an actress-puppeteer. It is a choreography involving a puppeteer and her puppets, a ventilation system and a few accessories: plastic bags, a coat, scissors, a roll of tape, a walking stick and an umbrella. With the music of Claude Debussy –Prelude to the afternoon of a faun, Nocturnes and Dialogue of the wind and the sea–, a ballet teacher creates a choreographic piece performed by plastic dancers driven by air currents.
Non Nova is a heterogeneous group formed by artists of different sex, age and career, joined by the desire for the audience to experience new and unexpected sensations. Founded in 1998 by Phia Ménard, its goal is to approach the art of juggling, its scenic treatment and its dramatic structure from another point of view. “Non nova, sed nove”(Not new, but seen from a new perspective) is the founding principle of the company. Its works are presented all over the world.
