MIO is an artistic adventure that draws its creative energy from the territories of childhood. Between imagination and reality, the children who live in town become the protagonists of an itinerant theatrical show offering the public their vision of the world. A poetic way of checking daily life and the links that exist between a place and its young inhabitants – a chance to reinvent our living habits and at the same time draw an emotional cartography of the childhood universe. Improvising and writing, inspired by the fable of Anna Maria Ortese, we work together starting from the perception that children have of themselves and from their intimate relationship with the environment – a matter of love. Thus a theatrical walk is born that invites the audience to discover the curious adventures of a Norwegian ranger in pursuit of an “elementary teacher” bear that the children protect using the magical powers of drawing.
