Centre Carme
A social dance project in collaboration with women of the Alanna Association from València. This dance will be created in different sessions with the choreographer and teacher Alicia Herrero throughout the festival. It will be based on a participatory methodology to empower women through Educocreative Dance. Alicia Herrero, choreographer and contemporary dance teacher, develops artistic projects in educational and social inclusion contexts, at the Institut de Dansa Educocreativa i Social, located in Xàtiva, and with Las Mitocondria in Rome. With an international professional career, her work as a dancer, choreographer and stage director has been recognized with different awards. She is currently running the Social Dance Programme at the Conservatori Superior de Dansa de València. She collaborates in different researches on gender and physical activity with the Universitat de València and the Universidad de Granada.
