Distancia is a stage experience of science and speculative fiction in which spectators will walk through different spaces following a journey narrated through the audio in their headphones. On this journey you will walk alone and in groups, meet strangers and travel to poetic places through interaction with different inhabitants and objects. Distancia is a journey where you will discover how our human nature can make us cooperate, empathize or become the opposite…
This is a piece that combines encounter, landscape and telepresence in which we expand the physical space of a theatre through the mobility of the spectators as part of the dramaturgy. We propose new searches, as well as current stories of speculative science fiction that question mobility and encounter in an uncertain future. It will also be a poetic and political experience that questions human relations of proximity and mobility from a techno-scientific and social perspective, in a strange current moment when the possibility of meeting or feeling close is physically limited, while we embrace, as a necessity, a new digital life.
