Taller taiji

Marcial art’s masterclass by Borja Lull

May 11th /  11-11:30 y 18-18:30h

Plaza del Ayuntamiento

Tai Chi Chuan, translated as Supreme Boxing, is an ancient martial art based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and on the universal theory of Yin and Yang, the two opposite and complementary principles in nature.

Today, martial arts and contact sports are becoming more popular. Through them, we can explore emotions such as aggressiveness, fear and violence. Tai Chi Chuan is characterized by soft and energetic movements, fast and slow, and by an adequate body structure. The Festival aims to explore this duality.

Tai Chi Chuan is a reflexive martial art characteristic of Chinese culture. It can be practiced by anyone and it’s useful for fighting, health and fun.

Borja Lull (1980) has been practicing and investigating in Chinese martial arts for 20 years, with Johan Duquet as his master. Trained in alternative therapies, Borja is the head  and instructor of the school Xin Wu Artes Marciales en la Naturaleza, specialized in Tai Chi Chuan. He also works as a Tai Chi teacher for the Bétera Council and the Elementary School Lloma del Mas. With more than 80 students, from 3 to 70 years old, his purpose is to spread and promote this universal treasure of Chinese Culture.
