The Dreamers are young people who arrived alone as minors in Catalonia from the other side of the Mediterranean.
Each of them will tell us their personal story as they enter home. An entrance to the house, as a symbolic space of the reflection of the soul, symbolising the inverse path to the house they left behind before completing the vital transit of childhood, to later stage the house they want to project: the dream house.
Entering their story will allow you to share not only a specific space and time with one of the young people, but also to learn first-hand about the hopes and dreams that have brought them this far. Crossing the threshold of the door will allow you to experience his journey first-hand and become accomplices in his story.
The route is presented as a poetic and sensorial form that aims to give visibility to his situation.
Each experience is unique, as different stories are presented: Yamna’s, Ismael’s, Hatim’s and Driss’ experience. But the spectator, randomly but not causally, will only be able to experience one.
The Dreamers received the Audience Award at the 2020 Tarragona FITT Festival.
